London All Stars (LAS) is an emerging women’s basketball programme that prides itself on having two female coaches.
With a wealth of knowledge and experiences spaning 40 plus years between them, they are passionate about basketball and ensuring opportunities are created for women and girls to participate and compete.
The ethos of the club is to empower women and girls in sport, providing a pathway to coaching, playing, officiating & mentoring in basketball. Developing skills and knowledge for the sport so they can progress however they choose, which also includes providing stats and volunteer support for a club.
The club is building a community for women and girls to feel confident in having a go, developing skills, to seeing how far they can compete.
The London All Stars want to create a club legacy that supports everyone in the club to succeed and be supported in that success.
London All Stars works with Hoops as we chose to work with like-minded organisations that look to lift members of thr basketball community, particularly women and girls, ensuring that they provide opportunity to showcase at their events.
We have been involved in the Female Focus tournaments and it is a pleasure to be involved and support an organisation that is looking to grow the sport in a range of ways. The philosophy of Hoops B4 Work and the team aligns with the London All Stars in many ways.
The events are fun and are an opportunity to engage new people to the sport as well as give teams exposure across the wider community.
It helps London All Stars expand our community and builds a wider network with which to develop our programme too.
